Welcome to KASITA. This Privacy Policy explains how HAMU LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use the KASITA mobile application and kasita.app website. Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you directly provide to us, as well as data automatically generated through your use of the app:

• Account Data: Your name, email address, username, and secure authentication tokens.
• Household & Financial Data: Information entered into the app to facilitate its core functions, including expense amounts, chore assignments, and third-party payment identifiers (such as CashApp, Venmo, or Zelle handles) explicitly provided to allow roommates to settle balances. KASITA does not process direct peer-to-peer payments.
• Device Permissions: With your permission, we may access your device's Camera and Photo Library strictly for the purpose of the "Receipt Scanner" feature. Images are processed to extract expense data and are not used for targeted advertising.
• Diagnostic & Usage Data: Crash logs, push notification tokens, and subscription status (managed via RevenueCat).

3. How We Use Your Information

The data we collect is utilized exclusively to provide and improve the KASITA service:

• To create and manage your account and Household environments.
• To accurately calculate and display split expenses among connected household members.
• To send necessary push notifications (e.g., chore reminders, new bill alerts).
• To process and sync "Household PRO" subscriptions across all members of a premium household.
• To provide customer support and troubleshoot technical issues via our secure administrative infrastructure.

4. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with trusted third-party service providers necessary to operate the application:

• Supabase: Serves as our primary database and authentication provider. Your passwords are cryptographically hashed and never visible to HAMU LLC.
• RevenueCat: Utilized to securely validate and track Apple App Store and Google Play Store subscriptions.
• Vercel: Utilized for hosting our web infrastructure and administrative portals.

Note: Any data you submit to a "Household" (such as a receipt, chore, or payment handle) is inherently visible to other members you have authorized to join that specific Household.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the services. You may request the complete deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting our support team or utilizing the deletion tools within the KASITA app settings. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently purged from our active Supabase database.
